Message: <blockquote data-quote="bucksnbears" data-source="post: 263552" data-attributes="member: 721"><p>Heavy subject.</p><p>Been several times that I feel REAL lucky but the one that stands out happened about 5 years ago.</p><p>I snuck in by canoe into a secluded spot in the a. m. dark to bowhunting.</p><p>Uneventful sit but while getting back into the canoe ( steep river bank),  the seat support broke and my foot got pinned underneath.</p><p>Hard to put into detail but the canoe turned sideways and started sinking fast.</p><p></p><p>I had just enough wits to lunge for the bank which was almost vertical.. I only had enough reach to get my fingers dug into the mud.</p><p>I'm a very strong fellow and it took EVERY single bit of what I had to pull me and a 3/4  canoe full of water to the shore wall.</p><p>Got my foot unstuck, crawled up the bank and sat there crying like a baby for a while. </p><p>One more gallon of water and I don't think I could have done it.</p></blockquote><p></p>
