Message: <blockquote data-quote="ndweimer" data-source="post: 247082" data-attributes="member: 1574"><p>I do a fair amount of coyote hunting with an AR.  Best bullet I have found is the 50gr. nosler ballistic tip.  Very good on fur, and drops majority on the spot.  If they do run, its under 50 yards.  Haven't lost a one yet.  Friends use v-max, but they are too inconsistent.  Either big holes or they run off.  I believe the only factory ammo with ballistic tip in 223 uses 55 gr.  Might be worth a try.  If you decide to reload, give me a shout.  I'll help you with load for the 50gr.  Nosler has a little lead in the rear of the bullet which in my opinion makes it superior to the v-max.</p></blockquote><p></p>
