5.5-6' light for jigs, I've got a ~10yr old 5'4" Scheels rod that was their top @ the time, a 6' light St. Croix Avid and a 6' light Loomis IMX. I like the St. Croix the best.

For bouncers I like 7' Med-Hvy spinning rods or 7' Medium casting rods. I've got multiples of both the spinning and casting from Scheels, St. Croix, Fendwick, and Loomis, and again, St Croix Avid is my favorite. The handle feel, weight, and how the tip loads give me the feel I like.

IMO, if going Fenwick, drop 1/2 step in action. If you're thinkning you want a Med-Hvy, in a Fenwick I'd look @ Med, for Med-light application, in Fenwick I'd look for a light, etc.
