    Trolling with Spoons

I have used spoons (2.5" - 3" long) connected to braid line off of shorty rods when trolling. I used a 3 oz snap weight. The color of the spoons was gold or gold/silver. I won't say it worked 100% of the time, but used along side crank baits can be a nice change of pace to see if a different...

Spooling Line Counters - Cold Water Reels - Braid vs Mono vs Leadcore

Have you tried using a shorter braid leader (12' vs. 30')? If so, have you notice any difference? I have been using mono leaders on the leadcore forever, but over the last two seasons the catch rate has not been that great compared to the shorty rods I use that are straight braid. I presume...

    Automatic Bow Latching Systems

I would appreciate that. I did attempt to install in the same way you described. I moved the winch stand all the way forward but could not get the Drotto installed. I would need to move the boat back on the trailer a few inches to get the clearance necessary. So, any mounting pics of the...

    Automatic Bow Latching Systems

Can someone who has a Drotto installed on a Ranger 620/619, post some pictures of the location of the winch stand and winch platform? I bought a Drotto and need to install it but would like an idea how much adjustment is needed to get the Drotto to fit properly

    Need an Outboard Mechanic Recommendation

The task itself is not difficult. However, it doesn't mean it cannot be buggered up by someone that does not know what they are doing. I cannot afford to have a destroyed powerhead due to lack of oil to the crankshaft/connecting rod bearings. I would like to find a mechanic that I can trust...

    Need an Outboard Mechanic Recommendation

Anywhere between Bismarck, Minot and Devils Lake would be ideal. But, I don't mind driving farther if need be.

    Need an Outboard Mechanic Recommendation

Looking for recommendations for a dealer/mechanic that is well versed/experienced with the early 2000 model Optimax motors. I have been burned by a couple dealerships and am looking for recommendations based on personal experience. (You can PM me if you don't want to disclose specifics to the...

    New ice rod case

You can fit a 40" rod in it. It is 40" long in the center portion of case. So, I would not put a rod there as you might inadvertently place the rod tip to far out to the edge and snap it off when you closed the lid. But the top and bottom slots are 41 1/2" inches, so that would be your best...

    New ice rod case

I have the Eagle Claw case. I was looking at the other cases, but as others have indicated, they are large and heavy. So I modified the Eagle Claw to fit my needs. I can fit all my tackle and 5 rods without having to turn down reel handles on my spinning rods.

    Surface Cracks in Livewell???

Cleaning out the livewell and noticed very fine surface cracks at bottom of livewell. You can feel them with your fingernail. Is there a way to treat/seal these so they don't get worse? Thoughts?
