    Blowing a 5 amp fuse

The ProV rear livewell would not turn on last weekend. I could run the recirculation pump, and front wells worked, but the big rear one wouldn't even light up the switch. Had a bag of breakers in the boat, replaced the 5 amp, and it blew again right away. Put a 10 in and its working great. Is...

    Cost of owning stuff

Gas is going to take a $.60 jump this week alone. I am going to go fill up the boat, bikes, diesel, skis, ranger, and the storage tank on the fifth wheel today, before I have to sell half of it to gas shit up. Good luck all, as Biden is building back better, and it really hurts.

    Conceal Carry

Well to my fucking surprise, I missed renewing my CC license by less than a week. I will have to retake the entire process, however with ND being a state that no longer requires this, is it worth taking it over? My Utah one is still valid, but not sure I can renew that one without a valid home...

    Solo stove

Just ordered one from a buddy in town that has a hardware store. Smokeless fire pit for the back yard seems like the real shit. Wondering if any of you clowns have been around one, or use one yourselves, and can verify the smokelessness of this apparatus. Stainless steel, it should last for a...

    The season of rambling on

Several trips planned this camping season. Mostly to lake Sakakawea, but we planned a couple distance ones this year. One is staying at Glencoe camp ground for the Sturgis rally this year, should be more than interesting with the creative crowd that make this campground home for a week. The...

Wife hunting deer, while the rest of us are pheasant hunting

I have a group of guys that are coming down from Minot this weekend, just curious if mrs johnr can carry her rifle and fill a doe tag while walking with us pheasant hunters? We will have a couple dogs with the group, and 7 guys hunting birds. Seems like we should be able too, but using dogs...

    Knee injury

I seem to have fallen off about a 6 foot ledge, and unfortunately landed with most of my body weight (265lbs) on my right knee. I had an X-ray of it at 4 different angles, with no broken bones. However this knee is swollen at least twice as big as normal, and full of fluid. It seems to get more...

Looking to replace my 5 year old Toro. The self propelled handle is broken and would need to be completely replaced. Not going to put any cash into it, just replace the entire machine. I am stuck between the Toro, and the Honda. Looking for some help on which way to go. I feel a mower should...

So I went and did it

Purchased a Sea-Doo jetski for the kiddo's. I have spent a majority of my life preaching against these damn noisy, gas wasting, sonsabitches. Just thought i would share, and I also plan on circling around all sparkly boats jumping their wakes, and maybe even getting as close as I can while you...

    Underwater camera

My youngest has saved up about $600, and thinks he wants a camera, rather than a Vexlar. I have never owned one, but want him to get what he wants with his hard saved cash. We looked at Runnings tonight, after shooting a couple rare western ND roosters, and found a Vexilar brand for around $300...

    NFR in Las Vegas

Mrs johnr and I are heading to the national finals rodeo in Vegas for a few days. I am going to be bringing a large cowboy hat to sport at the events. I have never traveled with one, for those of you cowboys who have, best way to bring it along would be exactly how. Wear it on the plane? Ship...

    Enclosed Trailer advice

I have sold my 16ft dual axle utility trailer to make room for an enclosed trailer. I am tired of getting to the lake in the winter and the ranger windshield is covered in slushy, muddy nonsense from the road. I am wondering what to look for and what to stay away from. I already know I am...
