I was not aware of this until just a minute ago. If you use Amazon then you can go to smile.amazon.com and use your normal password and login information. And everything functions normally, but you get to pick a charity from the list and amazon will donate .5% of your purchased amount to the charity you picked.

I think it's a great thing and I picked some Umai bags up a bit ago and chose St. Jude Children's Hospital!

I've been using it for awhile now. I have my set to donate to my hometown fire and ambulance service. I was pretty surprised that they were even an option. It really doesn't add up to much when only a few people donate to an organization but a couple bucks is better than nothing I suppose.

I was prepared for almost anything with this thread. Knew nothing of Amazon Smile, but sounds like a good deal to me.
