Suspect in a theft ring targeting people in a gold scam. These people will come through Fargo/Moorhead at gas stations by the interstate and move on quickly after they have a scammed a few people. The MO seems to be they drive a nice vehicle, and the man "forgot his wallet" at the last gas station but will give you his necklace or ring, all 18k yellow "gold". For a great deal. This has been on going for three years. He was here two weekends ago and got an elderlyan for about $2500. Soon, he fled to Valley City, took another man for $400. He then became aggressive with the man in Valley City so he decided to take picture of him and his vehicle. Reports have been filed with local PDs. Do not give this man your money. It's never real gold. It's all a scam. Report immediately if this happens to you. It's time sensitive as they move quickly.
