I chose not to catch the big one while prefishing with Sluggo so he could have it on tournament day. Your welcome! Looking forward to hearing the story! Congrats!

^ me too, but 4 over 13 is a lot different than 4 over 10. I was hoping to get a definite answer on the basket for big fish. I’ve heard it both ways. Anybody know for sure?

why not tare the scale each time?

are the organizers/staff that scatterbrained?

that’s not how weighing works... that’s not how weighing anything works

The basket weighed 3 lbs.

oo bad the G&F or who ever is in charge of approving these tournaments don't prohibit these tournaments this time of the year when the fish are full of eggs. Seems counter productive...
That is a lot of quality fish removed from the river system.

I think the Missouri system can handle it. It has for years, and science supports it.

This right here^^. Never understood the basket thing. Just doesn't seem right in any way. Fished it a couple times many years ago, but didn't like basket thing, so we quit. They fill it incredibly fast, so most guys must not mind it. Congrats to the winners. Nice work guys!!

Exactly, don't understand the basket weight thing. Have seen that at other tournaments without mentioning names

Can anyone tell me if or what % of the fish were spawned out? We kept 5 today and they were done.

I can tell what I saw at the weigh in. I would conservatively estimate 80% were post-spawn.

Lincoln, kinda...
I fished out of Steckel today. Water temp was 42.6 degrees for most of the afternoon. The 4 males we caught were making one hell of a mess in the boat.

Otherwise, beautiful day out there. Hot, then cold, then hot again.
