I'd like to wish all my brothers and sisters a Happy and Peaceful Veterans Day.

Thank you all for stepping up and serving our country.





Here's something I wrote back around 2000 or so.

Veterans Day

To those who went before me, showing the way with courage and honor...

To those that went with me...

To those who follow behind me...

To those who are missing never to be found...

To those who gave all, while asking nothing in return...

You will always be remembered, honored and will live in our hearts and minds forever...

Thank You 2400 for your service and for keeping the veterans and current warfighters in the forefront. Your statements are iron clad truth and I share them in abundance. I appreciate what today represents and wish to Thank those who take time to consider the sacrifices of the servicemen and women of this great nation, but it's not a happy day to me. I know it is the same for many others as well. It's a very difficult day and one I dread every year. I composed this note one night and it's the best explanation I was able to formulate as to why. I almost didn't put this out for everyone to see, but I think I can handle it and I think it may give some folks a better grasp of what VETERAN means and it might even do me some good as well. Thanks Again!!!

The Beauty of being a part of an effective military unit.
The Horror of what an effective military unit is a part of.
The Beauty of knowing the man beside you will die for you.
