Best news I've heard in quite a while. If you can believe the documents concerning the pesticide mentioned in the article, it seems to be a good product for controlling these invasive critters.

That is my understanding as well. It does improve on the other methods currently used. For a localized infestation caught early or a small lake it may be the trick to preventing further spread in the near term.

Same thought here. Sounds like something that works well in a limited environment, but maybe not so great on a large scale.

mussels are like weeds

imagine having to use boxes lowered onto the ground and soaking the ground inside the box with pesticide to control an invasive weed - box by box by box
