I am hoping to put some of my trail cams out this weekend in MN and we usually throw out a mineral block in front of the camera. We use the Stockade brand apple blocks out that you find at fleet farm that the deer seem to like but I was exploring some different options. Has anyone here had success with other brands of blocks or different liquids or attractants? Looking through the internet there is a ton of others around.

I just use a cattle salt block seems to work the white ones. They didn’t like the blue ones that one in the picture had been there for two years.

I second the cattle blocks,,, seems to work just as good as the ones that are 3x more expensive with a picture of a deer on the wrapper ,,..

I always have varying luck with the different blocks that I have tried, but I think it more regional than the blocks. I primarily hunt two separate areas about 20-25 miles apart. One spot they love them and the other spot they won't even get sniffed. I have tried lots of different blocks in that area to try and get something to work and have finally come to terms with the fact that they must be getting all the minerals they need from the soil in that area and aren't interested in any supplements.

I also have always used the plain white salt blocks. I thought I read somewhere a long time ago that that was the best thing to put out. I think it's good to get them out early also. It's good for the lactating does. I should stop at fleet farm and get a load. Might as well put them out while I am collecting maple sap. I'm thinking I'm going to have another 100 gallons by Saturday. We boiled up 135 gallons last weekend.

The white salt block from Tractor Supply has been the best for me. Gets the most attention from the deer and is by far the cheapest.

Deer are attracted to SALT!.
Doesn't mean it the best but it's what they prefer!
