I have a Minnkota 55lb thrust powerdrive non v2. I just bought the boat and it came with a deep cycle cranking battery for the trolling motor. Is it best to get a new regular deep cycle or will I be fine with what I have. Didn't seem to last very long the last time out. Also what can I expect for hours out of one battery if I were to run it at half speed? Thanks

No the battery is not made to be used continuously only for starting motor, deep cycle marine trolling battery has more cells heavy duty to allow battery to stay cooler under heavy load. Your battery will be fine but could burn out your motor.
