Dropped off some stuff at Mandan LEC a couple hours ago. They were very busy. Deputy helped me unload, Sherrif Kirchmeier happened to be passing by and stopped to say thanks. Told him I was very happy to see Laney and other LEOs from Cass Co pitching in as I was in town from Fargo. He said all of the Fargo and Cass guys have been awesome. I left in a hurry, didn't want to take their time.

"Unbelievable" seems too small a word to describe what's happening out there. Think as long as we're in town maybe we'll have the kids and cousins make some thank you cards.

I see Sen. Hietkamp finally got her name in the paper about her concerns of all involved. Com'on Heidi take a stand here and tell us are you for or against this pipeline? She was all loud and proud when the Bakken took off and was concerned about the transportation of the crude oil by rail and all the truck traffic to the transload facilities around the region. But now, when they say the safest way is by pipeline she sits quietly in her office. You can't tell me she is actually too busy planning her Thanksgiving dinner. All North Dakotans need to remember moments and events like this, so in 2 years when she runs for re-election (if she does), this needs to be brought up.

My guess is she is becoming a rich woman by keeping quiet on this issue.

Bunch of cops building up just a couple miles south of the Mandan this morning. not sure if they were getting ready to block another convoy or something else but I've never seen them there before. counted 52 cars heading south in small groups so they are still getting plenty of new blood. had to laugh at the dumb ass California dip shit headed down towing a zodiac! bet he finds boats don't work so well in frozen water!

Haha kind of sounds like me and another guy this morning well fueling up in Mandan. the guy on the other side of my pump was an HP in a marked vehicle. shot the shit with him for a minute or two and the whole time both of us kept glancing over at the hybrid car with California plates and two clearly hippie protesters. when the hippie chick headed into the store she had to walk by us and gave us a half hearted hello. the point where got funny was we both just grunted a very condescending ugh with sizable eye rolling and head shaking then just turned away and started talking again like she wasn't there. we both chuckled and he said you think she figured out that the locals are sick of them yet! also saw a California person put their car in the ditch this morning. apparently she was a little nervous about the ice on the Road or more specifically the ice that was on one of the small overpasses down by st. Anthony. so what does she do to keep things safe.....yep that's right she hits the breaks on the only 20 yards of ice within a mile and had her car go backwards before she probably had a clue something was up. she was damn lucky the car had done a full 180 before getting past the bridge or else I'm reasonably sure she would have rolled it when she hit the dry pavement on the far side if she had been going sideways. needless to say I didn't stop to help her dumb ass.
