I would like to try the Solid broad heads, but at 80 bucks for 3 I don't know if I can justify that much.

3 blade muzzy or G5 striker just depends on what arrow I grab out of the quiver.

I plan on hunting in the badlands a ton. So I'm not sure what the range is going to be for sure. I'm sure it will go from 20 yards to probably 60-70? My last bow I was dialed in at 100 yards. Wouldn't mind being versatile with distance.

I started using Montec G5's when they came out. Used Muzzy's up until then. The G 5's just group a little nicer at distance. When I have my bows tuned I can keep things together out to 80. Haven't tried shooting beyond that.

Ill be sticking with slick trick 100 gr. Shoot and group very well out to 50. The groups open up a bit after that but im sure a lot of that is me. they are paired with a 5575 gold tip pro hunter in a 4 fletch vanetec super spine vane . This combo has worked very well for me.

I shoot Montec G5 125 grain broad heads. They have worked well for me and I like that I can just sharpen them after shooting.

I am headed to Iowa in November for the first time. I am trying to justify switching from my previous heads, but don't know that I will. I shoot 2 blade rage heads for out in the open, and switch to Montec CS for out of the ground blind and at heavier game like elk. I dont have any difference in arrow flight until out past 40 yards. The montecs with their shorter ferrul and overall length shoot flatter, but are more affected by wind.

Camofire has been running the Ulmer Edge's on sale. For me, I'm done with mechanicals but to each his own.

Last year I used the QAD Exodus, and was truly impressed with the internal carnage this head creates. Flies very accurate, and hits incredibly hard. My only complaint was small blood trails. I took 3 separate deer with them and each blood trail was only a few smalls drops, but the deer died within eye site of tree stand. In fact I used the same head on all 3. Very tough.

I always said I would never shoot a rage, but that new rage extreme with the 2.3" cut is very tempting. A big hole like that has to create a very large blood trail and I like that they beefed up the blades a bit to the .o35" blades(same as the exodus). I may have to give them a try.

I did use the 2 blade rage now I just use the practice tips that come with them to give the deer a chance.

Thunder heads for this guy!!! My buddy shot a mule deer in the badlands ten years ago, had a few guys look at it in camp and next thing we knew the game warden was there saying he had a report someone shot a deer with a rifle. Thunderhead just absolutely destroyed that deer and actually had a bunch of blood shot meat and that's why we got called in. Warden was even impressed
