If you figure food as a budget expense when you work a 9-5, why wouldn't you consider it an expense when raising cattle for a living?

A little scraping doesn't hurt anything. A lot of the time the ramps are covered in compacted snow.

I would believe he sold his calves for an average of $2200-2500 this year, but I cannot fathom how his profit on each calf would be that...
