Seeing various cooking methods from numerous places in the world, that wooden thing kind of looks like some of the wooden utensils they use for baking breads and other similar goods. They use them for sliding the loaves in and around in the clay ovens they used.
Found these in an old tool box and have no idea what they are for. They have a ratchet mechanism on the side to hold them in place and some funky ends. Anybody got a clue? Thanks!
