The amount of deer elk and moose on that refuge and surrounding area provides plenty of food that the pack for now. Like everywhere else im sure they'll become more of a problem after a few more years
80 grain eldvt at 3450 sighted in 3 inches high at 100 gives me a maximum point blank range of roughly 380 yards figuring a 8 inch target.
Shot this load to 400 yds and it held true at 50 degree temps. Granted it'll most likely be a bit diffrent with temps around 0
I have an athlon cronus atn pro in 35p-400 and have no complaints for the price.
It doesn't have a range finder but I have a 6 creed and am able to hold center mass to about 400 yards
Here's a video I saved last spring during calving season just to give an idea what its like
I have an otter sled house that I use when by myself but it's too small if I have a 2nd person along. And I can't get a bigger sled house to fit in my suburban without flooding down the 2nd row of seating
I put my 8.5 kdrill on a 40volt strikemaster auger and it seems to kick out from overload on occasion. Depending on what size kdrill you run I'd most likely be a bit disappointed in the 24 volt version
My 870 express does that as well. But I'll attribute that to 15 years of being my 1 and only shotgun used from everything from trap to upland to waterfowl and a couple years of coyote hunting
I have a garmin instinct for alot of the exact same reasons. I can't always hear or feel my phone but my watch always gets my attention. I also like garmins ability to set gps points and what not for hunting. Just wish a guy was able to easily sync those point with onx
