    Lake darling ice conditions

    I fished there 2 weeks ago and there was about 14 inches. People were driving all over. There was one spot of open water between landing 1 and 2 that geese were keeping open.

    12 inches at the spill way ramp and a few hundred yards out at darling.

    5 inches at the spillway ramp on Darling. Large pressure ridge opened at landing 2. All the water deteriorated the ice. It did not look safe on that side of the lake.

    I punched a few holes over there about 50 yards out. 3-4 inches

    Went to landing 3 at darling this morning. 4 inches thick from shore to about 100 yards out. Pretty thin after that. Fished about 50 yards out for a few hours, no takers. The wind started to pick up and the ice started popping a lot so we called it.

    Drying out Eskimo Quickfish

    I dry mine in the garage with a space heater for a day. I am worried it will mold or get musty. My Eskimo isn’t insulated so it gets condensation on the inside.

    The USAF moved me here in 05, where I made the decision to marry a local! Now I am here forever! Minot has grown on me and I can’t take the southern heat anymore! I always wear my big boy pants!

    Definitely a braves fan! I grew up when they won 14 straight division titles but only 1 World Series! - - - Updated - - - Nope don’t know them. But if they are from GA they can’t be bad!
