    Favorite Walleye Plastic

Toss up for me....Keitech Easy Shad or Swing Impact on a plain lead color bullet jighead but they are not overly durable baits (tend to get the tails ripped off very often...great marketing strategy). Sakakawea walleye (East End...May thru as long as they are back in the bays, which can be all...

    Minnesota fishing trip recommendations

I am familiar with the Ottertail area, as my family has had a cabin on Big Pine (Perham area) for several years. I don't make it that way very often anymore but have had some fun trips out that way. You have a lot of options in that area...West Battle Lake & Big Detroit for muskies...like...

    Best Metallica song

No doubter for me..."Whiskey in the Jar". Every time I am pointed north, south, east or west of my destination for a fishing trip. Lyrics make zero sense to me but toon gets me jacked up to set the hook....lmao.

    Destination Fishing Trip??

If you decide to head out for Ft Peck Lakers...pm me. I am by no means an expect but have fished them Summer/Fall/Winter several times. Can point you in some good directions regarding seasonal locations/baits/other etc.....maybe try to help you shave off that typical day of character building...

    Destination Fishing Trip??

Well....this maybe wasn't the best idea to post this thread. Spent a little time googling some of the destinations that have been suggested and now I think I need extra part time job to pay for some additional trips. Pretty sure I have to step foot on the Compass Rose as some point....at least...

    Destination Fishing Trip??

Venice...nice, had never looked at that area. Tuna fishing around gulf rigs...looks like a blast. That's why I posted this...just to get ideas. Years ago (16 to be roughly exact)....heard a guy talking about Lake Winnipeg ice fishing. Decided to say "what the heck" and make a flyer trip up...

    Destination Fishing Trip??

So I've reached the point in life where I am starting to make a list of destinations that I need to drop a line in the water. Always thought it was going to be more hunting plans and less fishing but regulations, cost, access and waiting forever to draw has pushed me to more time on the water...

    Spicy food

Hard to pinpoint an exact one...depends on what it is going on. Sometimes just straight grated dehydrated ghost peppers in the chili if just want heat. Lot of the other hot sauces get a little vinegary for me but bounce between all the norms (Louisiana, Franks, Cholula, all the Tabasco...

    Forward Sonar Mounting Set Up

This is my exact set up as well...however, I will be adding a rail to my boat this summer to switch from the rod mount. Really like this setup. Bonus is the portability of this setup...give me the option to move the livescope to other boats, like a fort peck trip to run 2 livescopes at same time.

    Tech schools and college ND

There is really no right or wrong answer to this conversation. It all really rests in the type of person an individual is and what their goals are (unfortunately, too many young individuals never truly give any amount of in-depth thought to these questions). Bottom line, we need individuals in...

    Early jaw jacker ??

Good example of probably being too ahead of their time. Manufactured when most guys ice fishing arsenal consisted of maybe one actual rod/reel combo and some stick poles with the pointy ends.....fold out tarp/plywood portable and if you were lucky, a humminbird super-sixty to check depth. Blew...

    Garmin, Lowrance, or Bird

For ice fishing...I thought my 9inch was plenty of screen. For boat fishing...the biggest your budget allows...like stated. When out of Ft Peck...was able to stand in the middle of the boat jigging and see my buddies 10" and my jig no problem (about 7ft away from screen), so that is why I went...

    Garmin, Lowrance, or Bird

Garmin for me...Just upgraded from the 32 to the 34. Was able to get the 10" 106SV ultra head unit only (no transducer) from Scheels for 899 and had them price-match the LVS34 ice bundle with bass pro for 1799 (the 10" fits perfect in the bundle even though it only says up to 9"). I use the...

    Hazelton Boat Ramp Status?
