    10/11-3:45pm: Was East & South of Bismarck today, and a few more birds have moved in....couple hundred cranes, a few blacks, and a bunch of spoonbills! I did see a few more ducks, but no great #s of mallards yet.

    Yes, the ND G & F Dept needs $$ cuz our state doesn't supplement them with general funds- their budget is only from the dept generated income from lic. fees, applications, etc. It just seems terribly costly for a ND Resident that only hunts big game (gun or bow) to have to spend $51.00 to go afield!

    Waterfowl Report

    Back to reports:was out this AM and saw a very few cranes at Long Lake near Braddock (maybe 200-250 total). They just don't gather there like they used to.....Very few ducks and a very few Canadians also.
