Which wild game meat tastes the best?

The gamey flavor will always be there, which I like to a point, as long as it's cooked right. I probably don't love it like some of the others here. I prefer to cover up some of the gaminess with a bit of smoke, a little sauce or marinade, etc. You're not going to see me season it up with just...

    Venison Roast Recipes

I used sious vide thingy for the first time a couple nights ago. I matinated a venison sirloin tip overnight in a mixture of Allegro, liquid smoke and other seasonings. It went into the bath around 10:30am the next day at 120 degrees. I seared it first in a hot pan with some butter and oil...

    cabelas cast iron?

For the price of Griswold iron I would probably be looking at carbon steel instead. I have no experience with carbon steel yet, but my next pan will be. I've heard so much good about them I need to try it out. Finally got a gas range last year so still working on building up pan collections...

It seems floor heat isn't that popular on here. I currently run house and garage heat on propane so maybe I'm better off looking at different options. I have not priced anything out yet either so I don't know what floor heat costs vs other methods. I do want a dry garage floor though.

    Garage Design

So on the W wall I would have 5 ft between wall and the door (this would be the tractor stall). Would that not be sufficient for storage? I was thinking the work area could go in front of the vehicles. If I did a depth of say 36ft that would be ample room in front for work area wouldn't it...

3 garage doors, and your right about the room needed between the stalls. I'm not sure how much is ideal? Maybe 40 wide isn't big enough there either.

    Advanced Sausage Making

You must be over cooking it then? I don't know. If you're using 60% pork and it's still dry.... I boil my raw ring sausage for around 15 minutes and then do a quick brown in butter on low heat. Once the casing starts popping and you start loosing juices you are screwed. Try some powdered milk...

    Advanced Sausage Making

I believe those binders are mostly used in products that get fully smoked/cooked. I used powdered milk in some ring bologna and kielbasa, but i can't say it helped or not as i didn't have a comparison. But in general I knew it was going to be drier then a fresh sausage. That's just the way they...

I post this knowing two things. 1) they are never big enough, but you have to stop somewhere 2) for every response, I will probably get a different answer......but here goes. I'm in the planning stages for a new attached garage. Oversize 3 stall. Wife drives a Suburban. At some point I may end...
