    Gm 6.2

Big difference between the 2011 and 2020 5.3’s I have had. Transmission is a huge part of it. I much prefer the 2020. My dad has a new 6.2 and it far out pulls my 5.3. But, I am getting nearly 22 mpg average unloaded and 13-14 pulling my boat. He gets 17-18 at best and around 14 pulling...

    Graphs

If you can buy them, should anyone else care?? This tech revolution only makes me sad for the kids who are just trying to get into a boat. I paid 1700 for a boat and used a handheld gps for several years. Was absolutely tickled when I found a used Lowrance 332c to run on the boat. I fished a...

Onx= 7mil lawsuit for trespassing wth

If this guy should be suing anyone, it should be the realtor that advertised the public land as essentially be part of the ranch. I have seen the advertisement and it pretty much said you had free and clear inaccessible land. You can’t be that stupid but he obviously thought he had it to himself.

    SMOKE

Cold front definitely pulled the smoke down yesterday. There was a hint of it but once the storms came through our area it filled in quick. Sounds like Saturday it may get pushed over the top of us again.

    Lures Catch Fishermen

Same story here, almost same lure too I’m sure. We also caught one on a NASCAR lure lol!

    Bad Winter in Wyoming

Savageton to Midwest to Casper were horrible this winter. Worst winter driving I’ve had in a long time. Casper had more snow in town than I’ve ever seen. Losses will be less but still plenty in those areas.

    Prairie dog hunting

Hunt prairie dog towns that don’t get hunted. Or hunt now before they get shot at for three months straight.

    North Dakota is No. 4

Interesting SD is #1, given it’s no trespassing laws (been that way forever), highly commercialized pheasant hunting, and declining pheasant and deer numbers.

    SeaStar Seal Replacement?

Did your brackets come off ok? Same motor for me. I’m hoping something nice were in freshwater they are easy to get off.

    SeaStar Seal Replacement?

Anyone do their own SeaStar seal replacement? Mine need done, looks like a simple job. Only concern is pulling the side brackets off, everyone says the can be a pain. The pullers are fairly cheap though. Planning to do the nice deals too, not the Amazon cheap ones. Any other advice is...

    Instead of College

Our school did a good job of introducing MS kids to the different courses to help them make better choices once they got into HS. I do agree that schools still need to play a part as many kids don't have the guidance that many of us have been lucky to have. There are also kids who won't listen...

    Instead of College

The best thing mechanically to happen to me was having old snowmobiles. We rode them, broke them, and learned to fix them. Same with my old truck. And parents who let me tear into things just because.

    Instead of College

I am nearly one year removed as a HS Career & Technical Education (CTE) instructor. CTE is the "new" term, vocational, go-ag, shop, home ec, are all outdated terms these days. That said, I'll lend my thoughts and try to keep it brief. First, career guidance needs to start at home. Parents...

    Small engine oil changes

I get that too. On my Yamaha there is nothing left after I use the pump, I’ve pulled the plug to check. Maybe a tablespoon? Other engines could be different depending on how you get it set to depth and such. But I certainly do it with warm oil.

    Trolling motor batteries

Any preference on starting batteries? I have yet to go to a separate battery for electronics but that is probably the next thing. For now looking for a big 27 or 29 series starting battery. Recommendations?

    Small engine oil changes

It’s the recommended way to change most Yamaha 4 stroke outboard. I didn’t think much of it till I used it. Impressive.

    Small engine oil changes

I have the hand pump model and use it in everything from my mower to Yamaha F200. It’s as good as it gets.

    Another winter storm

Don’t take off your gutters. Put on snow guards. Heavy snow sliding off is great, but all that water right by your foundation the rest of the year isn’t!

    Another winter storm

I'm a year removed from the profession, but one thing I will tell you with certainty is that teachers ARE NOT happy to teach virtually from home. Every teacher in my school saw it as a total waste of time and would rather be in person with the students. It got to the point where we'd assign a...

    Spring Snows 2023

There were a decent few birds around chamberlain this last weekend while fishing. But a bunch of snow coming to that area and a solid snow line north. Once spring finally comes they’re going to go in a hurry!
