I tend to go the bottom bouncer route with people that don’t fish much, but I like all of the ideas above.
When the kids were little I’d try to only take them if I was optimistic about putting them on fish, and we’d almost always go swimming after.

My middle child broke his collarbone in a football game this evening. At least it looks that way. We are still waiting in the ER. I told my oldest that there is no reason to play football until about your sophomore year. It stuck with him and now he runs x-country instead, but it didn’t resinate...
Good morning. How was everyone’s weekend? I was in Bismarck for a x-country meet and to visit family, then spent a chunk of Sunday working on the site and coaching my middle child’s basketball team.
Stuck scrapers, dozers, and excavators is most of what I’ve dealt with. I have yet to see a strap break, but I have seen a couple of chain links go through a window. The best option for us, in my opinion, was cable.
