    Boat fails/shit happens 2020

Reading between those lines Allen...me thinks you are saying it's gonna be a nice long warm fall!#$%^&>

    The Bite/The Temps

No doubt...when temps start to fall the wind becomes even more annoying than in the summer. That being said, makes picking your days/times to fish even more critical. Putting that plan into action Saturday...looks like Friday winds mostly out of the NW. Plan to be on the water by 0630 Saturday...

    Kicker advice?

^^ Same Buck...mine would have to be mounted on port side.

    The Bite/The Temps

And there it is...ice will be here soon enough gents...lets enjoy couple more months of open water! As hot and muggy as it is today, can't even fathom drilling holes in ice!

    Kicker advice?

    ^^ Great insight!

    Kicker advice?

So that being said, is there an "unwritten" rule about putting a kicker brand on your boat that doesn't match your big motor? Aside from the obvious of it looking a little weird!

    Kicker advice?

Thought about one as well...I have an 1875 Impact...but don't know a damn thing about them? What does a 9.9hp weigh...effect on speed/handling. Price to buy new...have it rigged? I'll be following this one Buck!

    The Bite/The Temps

Looks like we got a nice cool down right around the corner...few days next week with forecast highs in the 60s. My favorite time of the year to open water fish is the transition from summer to fall. Some days you can still pull cranks and catch fish in 25-35 fow and some days you can jig...

    Yellowstone update

Didn't even consider that Jack...spot on! Bet it was Jamie's dad that set up the Dutton shooting! - - - Updated - - - For those of you that watched "Lost" all those years ago...remember the guy who plays Rourke...didn't like his character in "Lost" either!

    Yellowstone update

Judging by what the boss lady said to Roark..."treat this one line an oil deal in Yemen"...safe bet would be the company that wants the Yellowstone!

    Yellowstone update

Season 4 should be epic! Who survived the attack at the end? Good luck Roark...Rip gonna be paying you a visit!

    Goodyear doesnt matter

We bought the wife a new Honda Ridgeline last fall...came with the Firestone Destination tires. On the highway they are great...quiet...ok traction. But in the little bit of snow and ice we got last winter...not impressed! - - - Updated - - - Have to take a look at those next time I need...

    Goodyear doesnt matter

Ok...you're right Rut...so there was this one time...at band camp... Actually now that you called me out, I do remember once driving into a drift on Audubon when I was ice fishing...but honestly can't remember if that was before or after I switched over to the Coopers?

    Goodyear doesnt matter

    I've run Cooper AT3s on the F-150 for years now...never been stuck...ever!

Nitro / Green / worm glo Nightcrawlers

The bait shop in Pick City had them last year. I tried a dozen just for S&Gs...no noticeable difference in the fish score...but I'm a horrible fisherman!

    Mid Lake Sakakawea

I fished the east end Friday and Saturday. Pulled cranks, pulled spinners, and jigged. Most fish marked were in 25 to 40 fow. Over those 2 days maybe caught 8 or 9 walleye...none bigger than 14 inches. Little bit of a tough bite right now, but like eliminator said above...gotta keep...

What’s going on at Ft Peck?

^ Same Up...pulled cranks at 2.5mph using #11 flickers...that will tickle 25fow. Was marking fish tho in 25 to 35 fow where I was at. Stopped trolling, pulled out a jigging rod...put on a 5inch smelt looking plastic...caught 2 fish within 10 mins. They are pretty deep right now, but kinda think...

    New Vexilar

^ Agree completely snow. I know my buddies that have the FL-28 would never go back to an 18 or 20. Guess it's kinda like our boat graphs...my first boat...old bass boat...had an old Hummingbird that only show'd depth and fish marks...no map/contours...no water temp...no speed..no downscan...no...

    New Vexilar

Like most things in life...comes down to personal choice. Some folks ice fish more than open water fish...so to spend $900 or more on a flasher or ice electronics is well worth it. Just like some folks will spend $3,000 on a Solix 12 for their boat. And I guess there are some that will buy both...
