    Fall Turkey Time!!!

    Seems my daughter and I were more successful in the Fall Turkey Lottery than in the deer lottery. If the fall hunt is anything like my spring turkey hunt, it should be a great time with my daughter. Anyone else chasing these large feathered yummies?

    I've had a few discussions on shooting velvet bucks and the topic of velvet adding or subtracting from trophy quality always seems to come up. I myself have never shot a velvet buck, so given the choice between a 120's velvet deer and a 140's hard horned deer, I'd draw down on the velvet buck...

    60 trees and bushes later................................

    I'm tired!! Planted 25 Juneberry bushes, 25 American plum trees, 4 Black Cherry trees, 4 raspberry bushes, 2 pear trees, and I mowed the lawn. I think that is enough for one day. LOL!! Hope I can get 50% to survive 2 years. ON TO WATERING!!!! HaHaHaHa!!!!

    Large Smelt the Pike Fishermen

    My wife and I just got back from Hornbachers Northport and they have bags of 9-11 inch frozen smelt. I haven't seen smelt of this size in a store in years. I picked up 3 bags and they were about 10 bucks a bag. Get'em while they last.
