    With the cost of the UAW(pensions, etc.) and the slice the dealer's take, the legacy brands have a big hurdle to jump with every bit of their vehicle margin.

    They are good units. I've ran the non-UHD for 3 seasons and it's been good. Easy to update with the Active Captain app on your phone as well. I've had 2 birds in the past one was a Helix 10. Currently run both Lowrance and Garmin.

    You are not likely to see them in the rocks. If they are following and not striking you will know they are there and could switch to another lure or go to a slip bobber and a leech and hammer.

    If they are on featureless flats, it's easy to spin it around and mark fish off to the side. If they are in structure, it's much harder.

    It was fun trying to hunt mule deer with winds gusting up to 60 last weekend. I was happy to get one descent day to walk and glass. Wish I would have got three though.

    They are not available as an "option" on certain trim levels. They will still come on the high end models where it's standard equipment. That is how I read it anyway. Just had a buddy order one. #firstworldproblems.
