    I don't believe there are thru hull DI transducers. The transducer for the HDS 12 is pretty big if you don't already know.

    I prefer a mouth blown call. You can put emotion into a call that you just don't get with an electronic call. You might find it more rewarding to learn to call than just sticking a box out in the snow. There's nothing like having a coyote coming on a dead run when your the one doing the calling.

    Tournaments on Sundays should be a big plus for guys that like to compete but don't have a lot of vacation to burn. Leave Friday, prefish Saturday, tourney on Sunday. Two weekends a month would be cool. This is very interesting.

    Buying a Vehicle Outside of ND

    New or used? I have bought three pickups from SD without an issue. I would be leary of rust buying anything used from MN, the frames start to rust there in just a year or two. The prices in SD seem to be better also. Any particular brand your looking at?

    Could maybe try simple green, purple power, or oven cleaner and let it soak. In theory should break down the stank a bit. Just don't park it in the garage. I hear leaving your pickup at the ramp is a good way to make new friends.

    The biggest minnow a guy can find with a flashy spinner blade attached above the leader. When the minnow is wiggling around the blade flashes and seams to be irresistible to pike. Halographic Clown color has been my favorite.
