    arrow question

Which RamCats do you have? I was looking at the single bevel also, but they are only an inch wide and that may be a little small. labhunter66 I really enjoyed that video you posted. I keep hearing weight forward, but that defies physics I think. Thanks much for posting that.

I think it's Scheels copy of he Mathews drop away. Scheels copy of something, but I have been satisfied with it for about six years so have not paid attention to the name. Whatever it was it was $115 six years ago.

    .25-06 Ammo for deer

Lungdeflator like you for many years I didn't like Hornady ammunition. I also cant get the SST bonded to shoot in anything. However the new Precision Hunter shoots extremely well for me and I see they make it in 110 gr for the 25/06. If the velocity is high enough it will stabilize in a less...

Thanks for the offer. I am not sure what I am going to use next fall. My shoulder is locking up and I can't get my arm up to even try pull my bow. That and I fell in the rocks shooting carp last spring and crushed the bursa in my left elbow. Who ever coined the phrase "Golden Years" I am...

    arrow question

If were talking broadheads I disagree. The heads I shoot (currently 1 3/8 inch RamCats) you can completely ignore your rest because it's the riser you need to clear. Since the blades sweep back you need one on the string when you measure, or add at least a half inch like muzzyhunter suggested.

Kurt 400 is your arrow spine weight. I think the 10.3 should be gpi which is grains per inch which is on the heavy side, but that's ok.

    arrow question

Kurt if you only have thtee arrows now is a good time to check out arrows and shoot what you like. I shoot Carbon Express Maxima in my Mathews Switch Back. What weight will you have your bow set at and what weight broadhead? Then into that mix do you subscribe to speed or penetration? Is...

WTF is wrong with kids these days

I think one of the problems is that society now has laws that will punish parents who use any type of force to discipline their brats. These boy appear to be homosexual thugs. Perhaps it's also society pushing the homosexual agenda and making children read crap like Johnny has two daddy's...

A true conservative? I don't think you can pigeonhole conservatives like that. Many are conservation oriented, not just me. Some worship money. Some who hate socialists suck the gov teet so hard it's a wonder they don't pass out.

That's bs excuse for opposing conservation. If a farmer sells his land to a conservation group then they own it. Your saying you have a right to it more than anyone else because you need room. There are grain surpluses or you wouldn't want to sell to Cuba. Or do you want to support enemies...

Bacon the guys with the white soil sure want drain tile. BBQBluesMan Fritz and GST have advocated for all federal land to be given to the states because the states will manage better. I'm sure you know as well as I do what that means. In North Dakota it means managing for agriculture not...

North Dakota Farm Bureau would fall under my identification of money worshipers. Also the three R farming practices, rip, rape, and run. When will we understand that freedom extends until it damages others. This isn't the dark ages of ignorance. Drainage causes millions in damage down...

    American Prairie Preserve

When it comes to hunting opportunities I can only see an improvement to the current situation. Also from a wildlife management perspective, specifically population dynamics, this would be a great population reservoir to spread into the adjacent countryside once populations reach carry capacity...

Davis Refinery: why not move it?

gone-fishin thanks to you and dean nelson for those maps. I read the description and pictured it differently. I don't have a big problem with that location, but the politics of it sure stinks. Local corruption (conflicting interests) involved it looks like to me. Although I will have to say...

They think they are automatically entitled and anyone with bison must be new and competition. They are conservative except for agriculture. They are capitalists except for agriculture. They like competition except for agriculture. Remember the old book in 1979 called "looking out for number...

Davis Refinery: why not move it?

Davey I think you found the answer. Not really back in 1999 I had to pick out a few hundred wetlands in Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Montana. One thing I had to watch for is not to have garbage dumps in the wetland. One wetland in South Dakota had a few willows and I...

bigsky2 thanks for your insight to what is happening right at your front door. Isn't that the truth. Many of our fellow conservatives on here are conservative until it comes to agriculture, then they are socialists. Funny that when a person is for conservation all of a sudden the shoe is on...

Davis Refinery: why not move it?

So it's just ugly grain fields? Ok then. I know it's only a drop in the bucket, but if we could reduce grain production we could reduce the surplus and bring the price up without selling to Cuba, or the need for a billion in support prices. We need CRP again.
