    Not sure if its possible for you but they usually fly to Mesa on differnt days. You may beable to fly in the night before from Grandforks or Bismarck. Just remembered Mother inlaw flys in tonight from Mesa. My guess is she'll be 10 min early or two hours late.

    Welcome! Im not a big help in the Williston are. Id imagine the confluence are would have sone decent shore fishing. Make a trip a lttle ways east and you have the tailrace which can be fun from shore.

    Not sure how strong the Motorguide shaft is but ive buried my Minnkota into a sand bar. Ive thought it was going to snap several time but its survived so far.

    Makes more sense now that I can see the rope around the boat. Im curiouse to hear how the extended fin helps with steering. I'd probably break somthing like that off the first day on the river.

    My boy is 11 the last year or two he fishes how I fish. If he gets snagged he ties a new one on and gets back at it. Is he getting snagged more than you? If so figure out why. To much line, waving the rod around.

    Made it out around 10am. Once the rain calmed down it wasnt to bad. Went north a little ways and picked up 4 nice eaters. Headed back at 2 to pick the kids up from school. Hoping to pit a little more effort in tomorrow but definatly nice to be out in the boat again.
