    My resident rooster is going to run himself ragged. Gives me great entertainment every morning when the wind isnt blowing 90 mph. He has 3 hens with him now and he tries to keep them all close. He is so worried one is going to stray off. I think roosters are the most colorful this time of year...

    Came home from school and the kitchen smelled oh so good, opened up the big wood cookstove door and it was right out of a horror movie cause there was a pigs head, hide off but the eyes still in it. Never have been able to eat head cheese because of that implanted in my brain.

    Took some old shotgun shells, paper so tells you how old they were. Me and my cousins used bb guns and they would pop. Was fun until one of the cousins got a shotgun bb in the leg. Then he couldn't keep his mouth shut and then the rest is history. That was 60 years ago. LB

    Tangy SS on white bread, sharp cheddar cheese with a dribble of grape jelly and some chips layered in. Needs to be made in boat or the jelly makes it soggy. Had many a grape and peanut butter sammy in the old hay fields where the jelly bled though the homemade bread. At noon or afternoon lunch...
