    you'd be surprised what resources are available these days - tracked rigs, snowmobiles, etc. I'm always surprised at the rigs I see involved in winter search/rescue news articles, etc...

    between cell phones and general improvement to major roadways a LOT of risk has been mitigated in recent decade or two so I don't worry about it ha ha ha
