    correct - Skegosaurus® is small and easily stored - install or uninstall in less than 30 seconds from inside the boat (a design prerequisite!) here it is hanging from the 1/4" retainer/pin that keeps it from "walking" out of the robust 1/2" locking pins it's just a small flat piece of 0.36"...

    I run aground with the electric when I'm pitching on rare occasion - but never when trolling. Keep in mind this is for non-precision open water or off-shore style trolling - say 6 FOW and more in general. and yes - good thinking - it should indeed work above the motor as well! Interesting...
