    Leupold CDS

I have a bdc nikon already but am not a big fan of it for precise shots. It does work good for a quick shot and i like it for that Just looked at options at the leupold custom shop. a VX3i 4.5-14x50 with 30 mm tube. change cross hair and add m1 turrets for right around 900. I may go that route

    Leupold CDS

Ok after seeing SDMF's post the whole MOA thing makes more sense to me. the drop charts would make for quick adjustments. all my ammo with this rifle will be handloads and mainly for deer shooting 150 ttsx loads unless i go hunting for elk or moose. If i was to go with a scope with turrets...

so if i go that route if the scope has 1/4 moa adjustments that would adjust POI 1.25 inches per click at 500 yards correct. I need to do some looking and learning scope dope if i go that route

Anybody have any experience with the Leupold CDS turrets. I picked up a "new-to-me" Tikka in 300wsm last weekend and have been doing some looking for a scope for it. Specifically i am looking at the VX3i 4.5-14x50 with 30mm tube. Open to other options at this point since i am in the early...

Making the Switch to Copper Bullets

had really good luck using the Barnes TTSX. My old man, brother, and i all use them for deer(300wsm, 270rem, and 243win). In the next couple years we will be loading them for my grampa and aunt as well. I found 1 2 years ago. The bullet weighted 80 grains when i loading it in my 243 and...

    Fishing Rod Comparison

Im with Auggie. I built a 6.5 foot jigging rod last year on a light action fast MHX blank and love it. I normally use 1/8 ounce jigs with a leech for jigging. total the setup cost me about 100 bucks. used micro guides and a carbon fiber tube handle. rod building is very addictive FYI

    22 nosler

My old man has a 788 chambered in 6mm remington. he loves it for coyotes and has killed quite a few deer with it too. it's the weirdest gun I have seen left hand bolt with a right hand eject
