    sometimes the BB gets stuck. When that happens you lose a $6 rapala. With the 3 way I use a dropper line that will break before the main line so I don't lose the rapala.

    Great way to stay on structure. Keep the rig as vertical as possible. I use rapala floating minnows and a 2-3 oz sinker. The three way rig is much more precise than trolling lead core. Each method has its own application.

    What is the max depth setting on? If on auto or if the max depth is too high while shallow you will get the double return. The depth reading should still be correct though so can't explain the incorrect depth reading. How is the side scan compared to the results you initially posted?

    Anyone who gets a SI Humminbird should purchase the Technoligical Angler DVDs. It comes with some laminated cheat sheets you can keep in your boat. This is not neccessary but it will speed up the learning process. Getting good images depend on many factors.
