    Hamburger from a grown bull?

A lot of the burger is made from older cattle, both cows and bulls. The bull beef does not get rank like boar pork. As mentioned above, adding fat to bull ground beef will enhance the flavor. Which is the part of the reason Prime grade beef is so good to eat. It has more intramuscular fat...

    Weed killer for grass

Be careful with Dicamba (Banvel) as there is root uptake by non-target plants such as trees, shrubs, garden crops and flowers. It also drifts easily and for some far distances under the right weather conditions. The vapors can hang above the ground, then move when a breeze comes up and will...

If you are putting it around trees and shrubs, know that with the color and heat holding tendency, it will can get too hot for them in sunny hot weather. It can negatively impact their growth and sometimes get too hot for them to survive.

    Garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All good advice. Late spring pruning will many times get a lazy tree to be productive. It is a bit of a shock which gets it going. Striking the trunk with a wood bat will sometimes do the same thing. I little is good, a lot is NOT better. To much hitting can damage the tree. Two or three...

    Garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If there is a flowering crab apple, crab apple or apple tree within half a mile I would think that the bees would do a good job of pollinating your tree from them.

    Weed Control. CRAZY town.

Ground sterilizers kill all vegetation. Trees will root out 1.5 times their height, so keep it at least that far from them. Roundup is slow but very effective. It takes time for the plant to move the Roundup down to the roots and kill the roots which then kills the top. And the problem is...

    Weed Control. CRAZY town.

Most of the ground sterilizer products move readily with water. Run off and leaching can impact non-target plants as well. I have seen some real sad situations where trees and lawns were killed.

FYI To apply pesticides (herbicides, insecticides or fungicides) anywhere but on your own property, you must be a trained and certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator. State law. Could be a liability night mare. Keep this in mind.

    Garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing I have found that works is electric fence. Buy a good, powerful, solar fence charger if the garden isn't close to power. Use regular steel posts for cattle fence around the garden. Run one wire about 18 inches off the ground and one at the top of a steel post with insulators that...

    Chokecherry Trees...

There is a product called "Sucker Stopper" that you can pick up at Lowe's Garden Center in Minot. I have used it with mixed success. If you follow the directions it will hold down the suckers for a growing season. But it is an annual treatment to keep them off. Much less work than cutting...

    Fkn catepillars.....

Tempo will work well and won't hurt your trees. Other products that would work would be malathion, sevin, and permethrin. But my choice would be Tempo. Fast knock down with about 2 to 3 weeks residual control.

    More Gas and Oil

Natural gas power plants are have been built for a while now. My son-in law was a project engineer on natural gas fired power plants in Texas, Arkansas and Ontario in the early 2000's. And the company he worked for has a number more to build when he changed employers. It would be nice if the...
