    Pit Boss vertical pellet smoker

I got the 3 Series for fathers day last year. I love it. Everything I've made on it turns out great. I suggest looking at this model, https://pitboss-grills.com/vertical-smokers/pro-series-II-4-series-vertical-wood-pellet-smoker. Its got the new controller (supposed to eliminate the somewhat...

    Head Lamp for Christmas

My job supplies us with the 3 AA Streamlight headlamps to mount on our hardhats. They do the job, but they are heavy and eat batteries. In a work setting, neither is a big deal. A few of the guys have bought the Nitecore headlamps for themselves. They use the 18650 cell and are rechargeable by...

    opti-max oil

Quicksilver makes a DFI oil that is rated for the Optimax. Says so right on the back of the bottle. Its the exact same thing as Mercs Optimax oil (Quicksilver is owned by Mercury). Walmart sells it for a few bucks less than the Merc branded stuff from a dealer. Been using it in my Opti for the 3...

Xi5 Gateway to Lowrance HDS question

Search for the motorguide trolling motor users group on Facebook. Someone should be able to help you out there. Lots of reports with ongoing 2019 or newer XI5 gateway issues with little or no support from motorguide/mercury. A lot of very unhappy people.

    Terrova - Flashing F code

People still wire shit for 12/24? I thought that fad died years ago. I and most of my fishing buddies have A Marinco plug wired for 24V only. Never had an issue.

    Boat windshield replacement

Someone has posted on here or FBO that they have successfully made one side of a boat windshield with plexiglass and some careful heating. Hopefully that person will chime in.

    Opti Overhaul

Did you happen to give the compressor a good once over? Sounds like you have a good handle on this project, just would hate to see you put it all back together and then have to change out a compressor shortly after. Especially if it was making any noise prior to the rebuild. They're kind of a...

Garmin Panoptix- Is it the real deal?

Anyone interested in a Garmin setup, Checkout the the panoptix ice fishing page on facebook. Lots of good info and ways to custom build some components to get by some of the minor issues with the garmin products. Also, with the release of livescope, a lot of guys are switching over to that, and...

    Ice Auger Trubles

Isn't there a screw or two on the throttle linkage too on those jiffys? Might be to adjust the full throttle position only though. The two screws on the carb are low speed and high speed. If I remember the procedure correctly, you adjust the low speed for idle and then adjust the high speed...

    Rod holders

I have rails and Ram rod holders. I like the setup. I would prefer Folbe's, but couldn't justify the price.

    Garmin, deal or no deal.

With Garmin and Lowrance having a license agreement, look for Garmin to release a new unit this year that is similar to the new Lowrance HDS LIVE units. That's my guess.

I've taken a lot of information from that site over the last few years. Plenty of knowledge on many different subjects.

    Garage Design

I'll disagree with this. I currently have a 40 x 32 with 3 overhead doors and a 36" walk in door. There is enough room between vehicles to open doors. I have a 2007 dodge ram and have 10 feet in front of my truck and about 1 foot between the door and bumper. 9 ft doors with 2 feet between them I...

    New 10x42 Binos time

If the Scheels branded Vortex binos are the same price as the regular Vortex Vipers. I'd go with the Vortex, for the simple reason of dealing with Scheels trying to replace them with whatever brand the have contracted to make their bino's 5-10 years from now. From what I understand Scheels (like...

    Motor Storage

I also vote to turn the gas off and run it dry. Thats how I store all my small engines (for 10 years) and its never failed me. Full tank, with stablizer, start and turn the gas off and let it run until it dies.
