Drift on the south side of the house ranged from 2.5-3.5 feet thick. I'm going to finish it today, then mix a stupid strong cocktail and sleep for 12 hours -- assuming the kids let me. </p><p></p><p>I'm very thankful not to be living in the house we were in three years ago. We'd be battling another flooded basement again this spring, I'm sure (despite all our counter measures). When the house is the lowest point of four lots, well, it gathers a bit of runoff. Now we're the highest part of our block. And it makes me happy.</p></blockquote><p></p>
