This thread started as American Prairie Preserve. The aggressor trying to purchase private land. Thousands and thousands of acres. The tussle between what is private property and what is public property has been going on for some time and will continue. Thread after thread have been started here about some non-profit non-governmental org aggressively pursuing buying land. Predictably the claims begin on here...........it's the ranchers trying to "take" public ground for private gain. Show me. Farm Bureau resolution: PG's response, You must be daft. No one from town people to country people supported the Northern Plains Heritage Area when they found out about it. Former Senator Byron Dorgan was in on the NPHA designation. He helped get the Abraham Lincoln Foundation the grant. He knew Tracy Potter was flying into DC to advocate for getting $10 million in Taxpayer money. No one will ever know if Dorgan knew that Tracy Potter and his people used $8 thousand dollars of Abraham Lincoln Foundation grant money to fly to DC to lobby for more taxpayer dollars. Illegal. When something big like this goes down effecting communities, there is supposed to be public forums. Tracey Potter told Congress the meetings have been held and the people are for the designation. He lied. So.....some guys held a public forum in Washburn and invited Dorgan's assistant. When she found out the mood of the people she tried to hit the exit. Her path got blocked. She had to stay and listen to what the town people had to say. Dorgan took cover. Had nothing to say. The Northern Prairie Heritage Area was defunded. But Obama did sign it so it is not dead. It needs to be repealed. Let's get to work on that. A true conservative would.
