Message: <blockquote data-quote="PrairieGhost" data-source="post: 109571" data-attributes="member: 704"><p>I have had the Minnesota Kota deck hand since 2003.  It's hard to believe such a small motor even geared down pulls as much as it does.  One day at Devils Lake I went to shore to do some jigging along some rocks.  I pulled the anchor out and dropped it between two rocks maybe 75 lb each.  Then I went and snagged up the rope.  I had my back turned and thought I would stop when I heard the winch working hard.  It pulled through the weight of both rocks and I had a hard time pushing the boat back in.  I was impressed.   I bought my current boat in 2003 , but I just remembered I also had it on my old boat.   I'll bet it's close to or 20 years old and still working.</p><p>I have an 18 pound anchor on it.</p></blockquote><p></p>
