Message: <blockquote data-quote="bilbo" data-source="post: 297293" data-attributes="member: 6965"><p>My Dad showed me an app called Merlin a while back.  It's through Cornell and you answer a couple of questions about the location, color, size, etc. of the bird you saw and it gives you likely possibilities with photos and other info about the birds.  Pretty remarkable how often the first bird it suggests is correct.  I use it a lot.  It takes up a lot of space on whatever device it's on for the 'bird packs' but the nice thing is it will work offline.  Since I got the app I haven't used any of my bird books.  To be honest, I don't even know where it is in the house any more.</p></blockquote><p></p>
