But I bet your parents 20 years ago would have doubted North Dakotans would be arguing to legalize recreational pot unless they spent time at Woodstock. But damn look what we are now discussing. 20 years ago we did not have states passing laws stating men must use mens bathrooms and women must use womans bathrooms. Now this example has little to do with legalizing pot until you tie HOW it is happening together. So please tell us if you would how we now have states, with more considering it, allowing people of different genders to pick which bathroom they wish to use. Then explain how in a few short years this nation has an avowed Socialist making a substantial run for president? Did people just wake up this summer and start thinking hey I want more free stuff from the govt? Or has society incrementally been programed to think govt should have a bigger role in providing them the things they need? Incrementalism IS real and denying it is takes even more credibility away from this discussion than suggesting legalizing pot may open the door to legalizing other drugs does by a long shot.</blockquote>
