Message: <blockquote data-quote="raider" data-source="post: 51551" data-attributes="member: 353">some random thoughts on this...after receiving bad whatever by posting a thread on this a while ago, i learned that there are a certain amount of purists that are absolutely dead set against this... i find that i am more entertained by the hunting/fishing side of the sites...i find that i learn more from the political/humanities side... when boat shopping, i gave w central thousands of clicks, even though i rarely did anything else on that site... what could a fully developed kick ass classified section do for v???lots of busy people prefer to go to one building (mall or walmart type) to check many boxes and save time... amazon, apple, disney, google, harley davidson, hp, lotus cars, maglite, mattel, and yankee candle were all businesses started by regular people in their garages... without the revenues needed for a paycheck, and more r & d at some point, they would all be unknown today... v has very quickly developed one of the best outdoors sites on the web for US... so, what can WE do to help him generate enough clicks so he can do it full time??? should we limit his capabilities by not having the restraint to stay out of things we don't like???fbo became a cage match at the end, i think because there was little to no respect for ownership or management... i don't see that happening here, as everyone has respect for v... sites like this take time... time away from family when also working a full time job... unfortunately, v is probably having to make that choice until it can pay the bills his job does now...</blockquote>
