Message: <blockquote data-quote="all4eyes" data-source="post: 269242" data-attributes="member: 280"><p>I went from a 2012 crew with a 5.0 6 speed to a 2017  crew with a 3.5 10 speed.  The 5.0 was a great truck pulled the camper decent and really had no complaints.  Ran it to 80,000 miles with minor issues.  Currently the 3.5 has 34,000 miles and has been bulletproof.  It pulls so much better the the 5.0.  That little V6 has so much torque I don't see the need for a diesel.  I have no complaints about either but the eco is way more fun to drive, pulls better, and gets better mileage.  Cousin has a 2.7 eco and does a little better on mileage, not sure about towing as he only has a little 14ft boat.  Either way I'd suggest the eco just for the pure fun of driving it.</p></blockquote><p></p>
