Message: <blockquote data-quote="hogslayer" data-source="post: 142528" data-attributes="member: 1263"><p>I fell through once.  Was only up to my waist because I was in shallow water luckily.  2 ft of ice on the rest of the lake but where I walked it wasn't safe.  To make things worse it was about -20 that day with the wind chill.  As soon as I managed to get myself out my pants were instantly frozen.  Jumped right in the pickup and headed home with the heater on full blast the whole way.  Didn't stop shivering until I got in the hot bath tub.  My experience wasn't even that bad because I only went into my waist but it is something I never want to experience again.  There is no such thing as safe ice.  Always treat it with caution.</p></blockquote><p></p>
