I did post a nice deer at the beginning of this topic.  However that deer ended up on facebook as that is where the hunter let it be.  Got a lot more information there and someone put it on FB under trail camera picture so it gets out.   One gets a nice deer and one wants to bring it to a deer show.  We both know what can happen then.  It is what it is and we need to understand the risk of showing a picture or bring to a show.Big deer do not have twins but then everyone things so and they will come to visit you if they find out you have a big one even from twenty years ago.  I believe those pictures may have brought my neighbor to my stand.However it was not harvested there and we live with it. At this time I do not have a shootable buck in my eyes there but I am sure the neighbor thinks so.  One may show up after the rut.I was siting on road in 95 with my brother when he stated we are done chasing deer.  The deer can come to us and they do.  If people would understand that and put the effort into it and help provide for the deer they would not need to go to the neighbors to hunt.  I did not understand that at one time either.  There is plenty of hunting spots out there and if one only asked the land owners one would be surprise how receptable some of the land owners are.   I have 1.8 acres with four plots not on my land and then there is a huge refuge to hunt on here.  It takes understanding, time and effort if wants to harvest a large deer.  I had one from about 8 years ago.  It sat in the basement for 3 years and only my family knew.  Then one day it went to a deer show under a buddies name and he won first place.Bow hunter, I guess I am still to quick to act and accept my apology for jumping the gun with you.  thanks for your input.  db- - - Updated - - -rusty: that I why we do not gut out a deer near our stand but the ideals present on here are many and great.  db</blockquote>
