Generated intentionally to make AI look bad? Are you serious? Just making shit up now are we?
there are some people who are fanatically anti AI, and I guess I dont blame them, it threatens to make a lot of jobs irrelevant in the near future. Not saying thats what happened, likely the AI was just wrong. Dont mistake me suggesting a possibility as that being the likely cause, from my perspective...

I've been tempted but have resisted so far. I don't want more reasons to go soft on my ability to properly articulate my thoughts than I already have.

Spell check was one of the first things that made people lazy. Now the news has spelling errors in their graphics a couple times a week it seems. Now it's police work. "Gotta be her. The computer says it is."
My non-AI generated look into the future...

The Fargo Police Chief Zibolski is in full CYA mode even when confronted with exonerating evidence.

Despite charges being dropped by the Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office, Fargo Police Chief David Zibolski said in an exclusive interview with Flag Family Media he doesn’t know definitively what, if any, involvement Angela Lipps had in a Fargo bank fraud investigation.

The Fargo PD --they loved the face recognition AI-----

Ask AI how much its mistake will cost fargo

So how much could she sue for?

Chatgpt: We can only estimate based on similar cases:

A previous facial-recognition wrongful arrest case led to about $300,000 paid to a victim.

Another man in a similar situation is seeking $10 million in a lawsuit.

Realistic range

If she files a lawsuit, cases like this in the U.S. often land somewhere in a wide range:

Hundreds of thousands → several million dollars

Higher amounts if she proves:

severe financial losses

emotional distress

negligence or misconduct by police

The states attorney and judge that signed off on the charges and warrants should be held accountable too though, how this failed so many checks and balances is crazy!

are judges ever held accountable? not much!
Rarely are police, states attorney, Judges, prosecutors or any public employee held personally accountable for their incompetence or even illegal activity the city, county or state are forced to pay which in reality it is the taxpayers that foots the bill for their incompetence or intentional actions.

Something needs to change! Taxpayers are footing the bill all over the country for the incompetence and tyranny of LEO's and judges. When LEO's trigger lawsuits for violating peoples rights or even breaks the law himself, they should take those funds out of the unions pension funds or something.

Make them all have insurance and when they get even 1 claim that the insurance has to pay out they will be dropped and basically become uninsurable and unemployable in that field which will help clean out the riff raff and save the taxpayers millions if not billions of dollars

I always ask... Does this make sense?
AI is another name for statistical analysis. Put in enough parameters and with it's large data sources and computing power it will spit out an answer.
The trick is in asking the correct question. What and how you word your question could possibly lead to very different answers.
Just another tool, to be used or abused depending on who wants what.
Plug it into military hardware without any oversight and you have a recipe for disaster.
Who knows maybe we will kill ourselves off and leave it in control of what's left of the world.
If you want a thought provoking take on artificial intelligence, Asimov's I Robot. The book, not the movie. As with any new technology, there are outcomes we have no thought of yet.

So AI basically scans the internet for answers. Who put the stuff on the internet? Us…..the idiots…..we did it. Also can you guarantee the developers didn’t program in some of their own biases or agendas?

Im sure searching google isn’t much better, but it seems to be a slower path to the end. Whatever “the end” will be.

Not where I'd like to be
That is very simplified, but yes, that's basically how an AI search works.
So, the age-old computer idiom still holds true: Garbage in -> Garbage out.
The answers it provides are not definitive, and not even necessarily true.
