But check out the rate at which they can digest plastic. It's horribly slow. I don't remember the exact figure, but it would take something like 1,000 worms a few days to digest a single one of those Target bags. Or some such thing. </p><p></p><p>Not saying this isn't cool news, but we're far from producing meal worm farms to digest the mountains of plastic bottles choking our landfills.</p></blockquote><p></p>
