I can quickly shed the mittens when the time comes and the frozen handle/riser of the bow isn't immediately bothersome while wearing the mechanix gloves. I remember being 16/17 years old hunting late season one time when the temps were well below zero and I shed my gloves and tried to shoot my bow with my bare hand on the riser. My hand was just slightly sweaty as I was hiking out of my stand and the moisture immediately froze my hand to my bow and created a fair bit of chilly pain. </p><p></p><p>Make sure your mittens are large enough to slide off easily and allow you to put a chemical warmer in if need be.</p></blockquote><p></p>
