She is crate trained. She's never had trouble with that. We just had never exercised that option as it was never needed. We have been crating her when we are away, but figured since it was a relatively abrupt change there was something going on. It's also not practical all the time. My wife went to the neighbors house yesterday to drop something off and was gone for 5 minutes. She grabbed a loaf of bread and a bag of english muffins and was finishing up the last piece of bread when my wife got home. I'm glad to know it's not just us. The stories help in that regard and made us laugh. I wish my dog was as tidy as snow's. Ours is more like a slacker teenager, bags and wrappers lying around. We had a box of small pork rind bags from Sam's sitting on the floor, unopened. She got into it and ate a dozen or so bags. When we got home there were bags all over the living room and a couple unopened ones under the blankets in her crate like she was stashing them away. My kid was watching a cat whisperer show or something and the guy had these little automatic motion detector air sprayer things to keep cats off counters. I found one last night at Petsmart and set it up in the corner where we store the bread. I think it will work, the GSP is terrified of my air compressor and any air nozzles or tools I use with it, so if it goes off near her I think she'll be deterred. Also have a camera set up to see how she interacts with it. We will also be making it a point to get her more exercise.
