This bill would open up the Special allocation tag lottery to all 501c groups. It is currently only available via a lottery to 501c3 groups.

The passing of this bill would allow 501c4 orgs (capable of making political expenditures) to apply for these tags. It would also allow ag groups like the Farm Bureau to apply for special allocation tags.

Maybe a year ago, I read the list of organizations that applied for receiving tags they could auction/raffle off. That list is already long enough to where not all who wanted a tag were able to receive them. So, it only makes sense to expand the definition of groups that are allowed to receive them in order to spread the disappointment.

Ahh, who am I kidding. If this passes, the next thing to pass would be preferential allocation of said tags to select groups, they should just add it as an amendment now.

There are already a bunch of organizations that I feel shouldn't be eligible to even apply, I can think of a couple that it would help out but don't think it is worth the can of worms it will open up. I say NO

I read through the list from this past hunting season and question more than a few. Perhaps it's because there is not enough information provided for me to understand the need. I do know that throughout the year I donate a good amount to youth organizations. At the end I wonder how much I'm donating for some child to participate and wonder if the parents who are able do the same.

I enjoy helping out the youth but want those who are able to do the same. Who that is isn't always easy to determine but I'd like to be able to trust those woh can, do. Use of game and fish resources isn't in the books for me. NO
